Get on the River
The valley that comprises Jackson Hole is split down the middle by the beautiful, fast-moving Snake River and we highly recommend taking advantage of it during your stay. Various options include whitewater rafting, scenic rafting, kayaking, inner tubing or even just swimming under the Snake River Bridge. There are multiple water sport rental companies that can lend you the gear as well as several rafting outfits that will take you down a guided trip.

If you’re looking to release some anxiety while taking in the beauty and uniqueness of Jackson Hole, we recommend Goat Yoga! Jackson Hole is surrounded by two of the most stunning national parks in the country, Grand Teton and Yellowstone. There are countless beautiful hikes and multiple lodges worth visiting inside Grand Teton. Paragliding
While it may come off as a little scary, paragliding is one of the most unforgettable ways to see the vast lands that compose Jackson Hole. Also, first-timers are able to ride tandem with an experienced pro who takes care of all the heavy lifting. All you have to do is run off the side of a mountain and try not to scream! Shop
With all of the high-net worth individuals constantly visiting and moving to Jackson, it should not be surprising that there are some great locally owned shops throughout the town. The Town Square and its surrounding blocks have the highest density of stores, including some of our favorites such as Made, Encounter Hat Co., New West KnifeWorks and Wyoming Outfitters.
Golf
Jackson Hole is home to several highly rated golf courses. Unfortunately, pretty much all of them are private and require a membership to play. However, there are a couple of course just over the Teton Pass in Idaho that are open to the public. These include Teton Reserve and the Links at Teton Peaks. Both places are reasonably priced and the Reserve lets you bring your furry friends!
Bar Hop
Jackson Hole has several bars, breweries, distilleries and even a winery! This means no matter what your poison of choice, Jackson can deliver. Unfortunately, some of them are quite far from each other and nobody wants to get in trouble for drunk driving on vacation. Hike
As we previously mentioned, Jackson Hole has close access to both Grand Teton and Yellowstone National Park. Not to mention Bridger National Forest and the Gros Ventre mountain range. This means we are literally surrounded by hiking trails in all directions. So whether you like water and jumping off cliffs into it or summiting peaks or even just walks by the river, there is a hike for you in Jackson Hole.
Dine Out
We love our restaurants here in Jackson Hole and have several options for any occasion however we really specialize in fine dining. There are dozens of fine dining restaurants open only for dinner throughout the valley and we can’t even hope to write about all of them here. Go Shooting
There are some of the world’s best hunting grounds in Wyoming and that includes the areas surrounding Jackson. Unfortunately, hunting requires tags for the specific animal and visiting during a very specific time of the year. Relax
Travel can be unnecessarily stressful and a lot of us forget that relaxation is one of the most important parts of a vacation. Luckily, Jackson boasts several amazing spas with a variety of treatments. If you’re on more of a budget, there are also multiple awesome hot springs in the area! We recommend Astoria, which is less than thirty minutes away from Jackson’s Town Square.
Wine Tasting
Did you think you had to be in Napa or France to visit a winery while on vacation? WRONG! Jackson Hole Winery has award-winning wine with some truly unique aspects because of the high altitude. They offer private tastings and have a beautiful property perfect for a picnic. You can just stop on by between 12:00 pm - 5:00 pm, but we recommend a reservation if you are a group of 4 or more!
