Guide to Every Night of the Week in Jackson Hole

Trying to make the most out of your trip to Jackson Hole? Only have one night of the week where you can go out? Looking for something on a random Tuesday? We’ve got you covered in our list of best Jackson Hole nightlife activities every day of the week!

We also have our comprehensive best things to do in Jackson Hole in summer guide and its counterpart best things do in Jackson Hole in winter.

Jackson Hole nightlife

Summer in Jackson Hole is famous for hiking trails, mountain biking, water sports and golf. However, Jackson’s nightlife is no laughing matter either. With abundant bars, live music and restaurants, Jackson Hole has a lot to offer after the sun goes down, too. That’s why we’ve created this list composed of the best bars in Jackson Hole for each day of the week. We hope you enjoy!

Monday: Hootenanny at Dornan's Spur Bar

If you're like most of us, you've never been to a true hootenanny or even know what one is! Well lucky for you, Dornan's Spur Bar hosts one every Monday all summer long. Both local and visiting musicians are encouraged to sign up for a two-song slot. Sign-up begins at 5:00 pm and music starts at 6:00 pm.

For those who've never been, Dornan's is out in Moose, Wyoming so you'll want to secure Jackson Hole transportation, we recommend Double Black!

Tuesday: Bluegrass at the Silver Dollar

When you walk into The Silver Dollar Bar & Grill, located inside the historic Wort Hotel, you will be taking a step back in time. This Jackson Hole Restaurant provides you with a taste of the old west.  The best night of the week is Tuesday for bluegrass, pretty much the entire town comes!  You will find a beautiful bar inlaid with 2,032 uncirculated 1921 Morgan Silver Dollars, giving The Silver Dollar Bar it’s name.  You will also find a great menu including a large wine list and unique cocktails at the bar.

Wednesday: Million Dollar Cowboy Bar

No week in Jackson Hole would be complete without a night out at the Million Dollar Cowboy Bar. We recommend Friday, as many of the surrounding area’s cowboys will be getting off the workweek and looking to cut loose. Several pool tables and live music 5 days a week (Tuesday - Saturday) help make this place a world-famous icon.

Thursday : Music on Main in Victor

It’s time to head over the Hill and party in Idaho because Music on Main in Victor is the place to be on Thursdays throughout the summer. Hosted by the Teton Valley Foundation, MoM provides a chance for free live music as well as some of the best food trucks on either side of the Tetons. While they have yet to announce this summer’s vendors, last year had several ones from our list of best restaurants in Jackson Hole. Music plays from 6 to 11 and we highly recommend finding transportation if you plan to drink, as the drive involves going over the treacherous Teton Pass. Depending on the size of your party, there is no better group transportation in Jackson Hole than Double Black.

Friday: Scenic Brewery Tour

Visit three of the best local breweries in Jackson Hole while enjoying a beautiful drive through the Snake River Canyon, the Teton Pass and alongside the Palisades Reservoir. Unlike any other bar crawl you’ve been on, this scenic brewery tour winds through the Tetons, allowing you to see much of Jackson Hole’s surrounding areas. Plus, you get a signature flight of each brewery's latest and greatest beers!

Live Music at the Mangy Moose

We used to have The Rose at the Pink Garter as our favorite spot for Saturday nights in Jackson. Unfortunately, they sold their liquor license recently, leaving us with few strictly nightlife venues.

Luckily, the Mangy Moose has been a drinking institution since 1967, the same year the Aerial Tram opened! They've got great food, cold beer and some of the best concerts in the area. The Moose can feel like you're stepping into a time machine and we like it that way!

Sunday: The Stagecoach

For over 40 years, the band Church has been playing at the Stagecoach Bar in Wilson on Sundays throughout summer. Their fearless leader, Billy Briggs, was the first person to ski the Grand Teton and has no trouble bringing the crowd to their feet. Get there early to enjoy some great Mexican food from the attached restaurant with ample outdoor seating.

Transportation: Double Black

If you’re looking for Jackson Hole transportation to any of these events, Double Black has you covered. Our buses are designed for all of your partying needs, with surround-sound speakers, custom lights and bars to keep those sloshies cold!

We are the only Jackson Hole limo service and we want to make sure you have a great (and safe) time!
